The Office of Undergraduate Research was formed in 2014 at the directive of Provost Elizabeth Hendrey and Dean of Graduate Studies and Research Richard Bodnar following a year of work by a faculty committee on undergraduate participation in research, in conjunction with the Council of Undergraduate Research. Dr. John Dennehy was appointed Founding Director.
